Downtown Ann Arbor Library: Multi-Purpose Room
GEMILY (Gemini + Emily) and AADL’s Laura Pershin Raynor, join forces for a special musical storytelling program for the whole family. This fourth annual concert will include classic songs for children, musical settings of the texts of favorite children’s books, and collaborative storytelling.

"Those Were the Days" — Gemini concert of folk music of the 1960's — the classic songs of Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Peter, Paul and Mary, Joan Baez, etc. Come hear songs like “If I Had a Hammer,” “Blowing in the Wind,” “Where Have All the Flowers Gone,” and many more — even including a bit of Motown, the Beatles, and Janis Joplin! San and Laz will also mix in songs and instrumentals from their Jewish and klezmer repertoire.

A Gemini Family Concert to benefit the Michigan Friends Center. The event starts at 1:00pm with snow sculpting, sledding, and other winter fun (if the weather agrees), followed by mulled cider and treats at 2:00pm and the concert at 3:00pm.

A GEMILY (Gemini + Emily = GEMILY) Family Concert to benefit Groundcover News and its mission. Groundcover News is Ann Arbor's street newspaper sold directly by vendors, many of whom are experiencing challenges, including homelessness, related to poverty. (See San's article about Groundcover and its publisher, Susan Beckett, in the current issue of the Crazy Wisdom Community Journal.) Admission is $10, tickets at the door only, and all proceeds will go to Groundcover News. We are delighted to be able to offer this benefit concert. Please join us in supporting this very worthwhile organization.

A Gemini Family Concert, as part of the Early Childhood Conference at the University of Wisconsin—Whitewater. For part of this concert, we’ll be joined by a local children’s choir under the direction of a wonderful music teacher, Christine Hayes. Also, on Saturday, April 7th, we’ll be giving workshops for teachers on how to use music in the classroom.
