For Pete’s Sake — Seeger Birthday Tribute

The Ark Coffeehouse, 316 S. Main St. Ann Arbor, MI

This year marks the 98th birthday of folk legend Pete Seeger, and our 8th annual tribute concert is a celebration of his life and music. The concert will once again be a benefit for the Ark; it feels fitting, as we celebrate the life of a man whom Bruce Springsteen has called “the grandfather of American folk music,” to honor and support a folk music institution that has brought such great music to our community for more than 50 years. We’ll tell stories and, in the true Seeger tradition, lead lots of singalongs. Our duo will be joined by San’s daughter Emily Rose and bass player Jacob Warren, and we’ll be sharing the stage with veteran luminaries of the local folk music scene — names to be announced.
