Beginning in the early 1980’s, Gemini started focusing on music for children and families. But the twin brothers had been writing, recording and performing for adults for more than ten years before that. This is a compilation of the best of their music — both vocal and instrumental — for adults. Includes “The Waltz of the Old Lovers,” (about an elderly couple dancing in a rock ‘n roll bar) “Percy’s Song” (about Percy Danforth, the man who taught San to play the “bones”) and “The Lawn Chair that Flew!” also known as “Sixteen Helium Balloons” (Based on the true story of the man in California who tied weather balloons to a lawnchair and went ten-thousand feet up in the air!)
Eighteen new melodies for the Jewish holiday of Passover. The lyrics are passages from the Haggadah, the book that is read and recited during the Seder, the traditional Passover meal. Includes our original settings for familiar songs such as "Dayenu," and "Elijahu," and also settings of passages from the Haggadah that are not traditionally sung. Read more...

Hafiz, 14th Century Sufi mystic, is the most beloved poet of Persia. It is said that there may be some homes in Iran that do not contain the Koran, but no home is without the Divan (Collected Poems) of Hafiz. There is a tradition that on every Nourouz (New Year’s Day in Iran, which coincides with the Spring Equinox) people open Hafiz’s Divan at random and whatever poem they open to gives them a message to focus on for the year. San and Gabe Bolkosky formed a friendship in 2000 when Gemini collaborated with the Phoenix Ensemble on a concert. After that, they looked for more music they could play together – Home From Work is the result. Picture a violin, guitar and voice, blend in some serious credentials in classical and folk music, add a common love of jazz, mix in some virtuoso playing and a genuine sense of ease on stage, and you've got Home From Work. This is a compilation of songs where San plays the bones. San learned to play the bones from Percy Danforth in 1976, and the music on this CD first appeared in various Gemini recordings. Includes songs such as, "Mr. Bones," "Dry Bones," "Mary Mack," "Mama Don't Allow" and "I Can Feel It In My Bones."

Includes familiar Eastern Eauropean songs such as "Tumbalalaika," "Belz," and "Chiribim," Hebrew songs such as "Elijahu," "Rabbi Akiva" and "Yibonne," and original songs by San such as "Deli" (a hot new version), the humorous "Gefilte Fish" and "Mama Loshen" and several lively new dance tunes and San's settings of Hebrew lyrics.
Children will enjoy this solo recording by Laz, with its lively rhythms, variety of instruments, and positive messages, but "Harbor of the Heart" is especially meant for parents, teachers, and other adults who care for children. Imagine your favorite motivational speaker or inspirational writer breaking into song, singing to encourage and uplift you—"Harbor of the Heart" was written with this intention. Including songs about perseverance, generosity, and giving to oneself in order to be able to give to others, "Harbor of the Heart" reminds us of, and strengthens us in the power we each have to make a difference.
Hear the ancient, indigenous music and made-from-nature instruments of the Andes (panpipes, agave drums, and seed-pod shakers) woven together with Celtic harp, guitar, flute and violin, and the song-writing tradition of North American folk music. This CD is the fruit of the connection between two families—The Slomovits family of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the Santillán family of Agato, Ecuador—brought together by a shared love of music and a desire to contribute to harmony and healing in the world. Published in November of 1999, this is Laszlo's first book of poetry for adults. The poems range from tiny haiku-like reflections on nature to powerful images from two world events that touched his family—the Holocaust and the 1956 Revolution in his native Hungary. In the CD which is included in this book, the reading and singing of each poem is enhanced by original music for harp and flute composed by the author.
